A purchase receipt, retail installment contract, and official Hammond certificate for serial no. It was originally purchased new in 1959 from Lyon-Healy in Chicago. Setting this particular one apart, is the history and documentation that comes along with it. So there are many nice offerings still out there yet today. There were a lot of Hammond M-3's produced through the years. So, it has been in a living room for that time not having been played, before being moved to Senior Hall at the preserve this past Fall. An Izaak Walton member purchased some furniture at a local estate sale, and the condition of the sale was that the M-3 had to go along with it. It was decided to not auction it off at that time, as the concern was that a greater audience was needed to show and promote it to. A fund raising event which is part of their annual Turkey Raffle. It was received this past November for the charity auction. This organ was donated to the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve in Homewood Illinois. Other pictures are available upon request. The wood grain on top needs some attention due to its many years in direct sunlight, otherwise the finish overall is very. It is dusty in some places, but with some detailing, could really look outstanding. The front left corner has some chipping, and the wood to the right of the bottom keyboard is chipped and scratched.

Cosmetically, it is very presentable with issues in two places. There arn't any records of service(a chart under the bench lid records this, and there are no entries on it) but there is a lubricant syringe stored inside the bench for oiling.

Hammond has a maintenence schedule for the owner to keep up which includes lubrication. A classical pianist from in the area spent some time with it and felt it was in fine condition. Being shown is a very nice Hammond M-3 organ.
